After a total slagging from Pete about me coming back to University to do a PhD (after four horrendous years), he too has now come back to do an MSc. I'm not really sure what I could possibly ever say to describe Pete - truly one of those people where words fail you!

(Note to Pete's Mum -- he insisted that I mention that this isn't a real photograph - I made it up when I should have been writing an essay. Your son has never done anything that sinister....we hope. )

The master of cheesy grins...the only person to kiss a lecturer's bald patch...and every second sentence he utters, has the simple suffix appended "yer mother". Pete Wrigley - we salute you!

Quite simply Robert is my hero! Not only is he better dressed and better looking than me, he is also better at squash and badminton. In fact, he is better than me - end of story. Actually, I am exteremely envious of his superior intelect and better dress sense (did I mention that?); he taught me everything I know. Despite being extrordinarily warm, kind, well dressed, and funny, he is also refreshingly modest. Naturally, I strive to be just like him in every way - I even copy his desktop wallpaper in the vain hope that one day I could be like him.

Along with Louise, Susan also works at Tality....although according to Louise, all they really do is send out emails all day long. Sounds excellent! Susan is *such* a nice person and is really easy going. She comes from Campbeltown, and has got a really sweet accent (and I'm sure she'll be embarrased that I said that), and the way to her heart is through a Halfords £3.99 car air freshener - one of the ones with a little fan in it that spins round. Hours of entertainment!
